In Memory of Linda Watts
1954-2025
A lifelong horsewoman, devoted mother, cherished wife, loyal friend, and passionate animal advocate, Linda Lee Watts passed away in June after a courageous battle with cancer. Her life was defined by her deep love for family and the horses that brought her joy, purpose, and connection
Linda spent decades in the world of harness racing and treated every horse in her care as family. She was a fierce advocate for Standardbred aftercare, believing that every horse deserved a safe and meaningful second chapter beyond the track. Through her partnership with non-profit organization MMXX Standardbreds, Linda personally placed many of her own retirees into loving, sustainable homes as riding horses.
Now, even in passing, Linda continues to give. In lieu of flowers, her family invites you to honor her legacy by making a donation to MMXX Standardbreds: an organization closest to her heart and the cause she championed with unwavering devotion.
Together, we can continue Linda's work and ensure more Standardbreds get the second chance they deserve.
MMXX Standardbreds extends heartfelt gratitude to Linda and her family for leaving behind a legacy of compassion, care, and impact.
